Take the photo tour of the PPP Community Centre and see some of the rooms and facilities which will be available come February 2012.

You can see the changes to the interior of the building in the space of just two months. The first set of photographs were taken June 28 and the newest photographs were taken August 30.

Here you can see the reception, the first area you will come into. A receptionist will be present to greet you and help with directions around the building and any enquiries. There will also be a staircase (not installed yet) to take you to the top floor and handy information boards where you can see what's on at the PPP.

To the right is the cafe and childcare area, straight ahead will be access to the main hall, the lift and toilets, while heading to the left will take you to the youth group room, classroom and artists studio.

MAASK childcare can be seen in this photo. This will be a safe, friendly and fun place for children, complete with a viewing window for parents to watch their children play. With a soft play area, a nursery/creche, out of school care, baby changing facilities and an area outside to play in, the childcare section will be perfect for dropping children off to allow parents to have a coffee or attend one of our many classes.
Beside childcare will be the cafe and kitchen where the public can come in for a cup of tea, coffee, or buy delicious, affordable meals. There will be plenty of seating, creating the perfect venue for a catch-up with friends or an informal business meeting. With large windows letting the sun in and a buzz of activity all around, the cafe will be at the heart of the PPP Community Centre.
The main hall. A grand hall with a high ceiling to allow all sports to be played, the hall will be multi-functional with bleacher seating which can be stored away when a sporting event is hosted or brought out for conferences or large meetings. Local groups or the public can hire the hall for their needs, providing the perfect venue for any occassion.
The youth groups' room, classroom and artists' studio. The youth group room will have comfy seating, a tv, games consoles and other entertainment to give youths a nice place to socialise.
The classroom will be used to teach and develop people's learning in some of PPP's many groups or projects, while the artists' studio will give talented people a dedicated area to attend one of PPP's arts and crafts classes.
Three separate rooms, the youth groups' room, classroom and artists' studio will house many existing PPP groups and activities such as
Target and Mum's Fun, as well as allow for the creation of more.
To the right at the top of the stairs is the training kitchen, IT suites, band practice room and social economy offices. The training kitchen offers chefs-in-the-making the ideal environment to practice and hone their skills, plus send their culinary creations down to the cafe for the public's delectation. Exisiting groups such as the Men's Cooking Class will benefit from this greatly.
The IT suites will see PPP's current computer classes run from the
Training Centre having a modern, hi-tech environment in which to learn all about word processing, emailing, the Internet and much more all under the guidance of SQA qualified instructors.
For all Caithness's budding musicians there is the band practice room where they can get a jam going and prepare for their next gig.
Also in this area there will be several social economy offices built specifically so that local companies who feel they need a dedicated office can rent out space and get the full benefits of a photocopier room and the facilities PPP Community Centre can offer.

To the left of the stairs overlooking Huddart Street there is the PPP office where the staff who run all the projects and groups will work. This will include a photocopy room and a committee/meeting room.
Due to open February 2012, PPP Community Centre will have something for everyone, designed for the community, by the community, in the community.
